The Amenities booking feature will enable your professionally managed, and self-managed strata, create amenities that can be booked by Strata Owners. Amenities can be booked free of charge, or with a fee, with a number of payment options available, such as e-transfers, cheques, cash and credit card payment options. If the credit card option is desired, a Stripe or Square account can be used to collect payment.

The first step is to turn on the Booking feature.

Go to Edit Property on the property mini-menu.

Go to the ‘Additional Info‘ tab

Scroll to the bottom of the age and check the box next to ‘Allow Calendar Bookings’

This now adds the ‘Amenities’ and ‘Bookings’ items on the mini-menu for Property Managers and Council Members.

For Strata Owners, the ‘Bookings‘ link appears on the left-side menu bar.

Creating the Amenity

The Property/Strata Manager and Strata Council can create and manage amenities.

Go to Amenities section from the property mini-menu.

Within the Amenities section, click on the green ‘+ Create Amenity‘ button found at the top right corner of the page under the mini-menu.

Below is the layout of the Create Amenity section.

Amenity Example: Boardroom

For an amenity like a Boardroom, that is being rented out on an hourly basis at $20 per hour with a $25 refundable deposit, the setup would look as follows:

  • Amenity Name: Give your Amenity a name and make it easy to recognize like, Boardroom, Pool, Elevator, Pickle Ball Court, etc…
  • Maximum Duration: This is the maximum number of hours or days that the amenity can be booked.
  • Hourly Cost: This is the cost per hour for booking the amenity.
  • Deposit: This is the deposit required to book the amenity, it can be refundable, or not.
  • Cleaning Fee: This is the cleaning fee collected for the booking. Most often used for Rental Suites.
  • Refundable Deposit Message: This message appears on the booking details for the Strata Owner if the deposit is refundable.
  • Maximum Bookings/Days: This is the maximum number of booking a single Strata Owner can make in one day.
  • Maximum Bookings/Month: This is the maximum number of booking a single Strata Owner can make in one month.
  • Bookings allowable no more than (x) days in advance of the amenity being available: This prevents bookings from being made past the number of days selected.

In this example below, the booking date is the 6th with the ‘Bookings allowable no more than (10) days in advance of the amenity being available’.  No booking options are available beyond 10 days from the booking day. Days include closed or maintenance days and days the amenity is not available outside Monday to Friday 12pm to 7pm.
